Asos Curve Wishlist - All dressed up

I love a good dress. You can just put one on and feel 10 times prettier and just happier. Unfortunately, I rarely ever get a chance to wear dresses. This does not stop me from putting loads of dresses into my Asos saved list every month.

Here are 6 of my favourite Asos Curve dresses at the moment:

New background picture!

I have a new background picture. How exciting! Well, not really. It's not even new. I use the same one as my Twitter background and as my Facebook cover photo. I love floral prints and this is my favourite one. Once I was talking to my friend about my love of floral prints and I said I wanted to BE a floral print. This is true.

FLORALS FOR LIFE!

NOTD - Flormar Nail Polish

Yesterday while walking to work in the hot UAE sun I couldn't stop looking at my nails because this colour looks 10 times more lovely in the sunlight than in the shade.
It's the Flormar Nail Enamel in 431 which is a bright, electric blue with blue shimmer (I think). I talked about this nail polish in my previous collective haul post and I have a bad feeling that I am going to go back to the kiosk in Dubai and buy around 10 more nail polishes. They are really good quality and the range of colours is so impressive.

Onto the pictures!

My chubby fingers! :)

Collective Haul - Flormar, Revlon, random skincare and shoes!

These are a couple of things I picked up at the mall while there for completely non-shopping purposes. Me +  money + mall = buying things I never thought I needed.

I've only recently started really wearing make-up on a regular basis and going beyond just eyeliner and mascara. Lipstick is probably my favourite type of make-up item but since I would never wear it, I never bought it. Well that's changed. I bought TWO this month!

Let me just show you and list out the stuff I got. :)

Check out my  cheap, girly, department store sheets. Pretty right?

5 TV shows I love

At any given point of time, I will be watching 2-3 TV shows and forgetting that I actually have a life to live and things to do. I absolutely love finding new TV shows to start watching even if I have to marathon-watch 3 seasons in one week to catch up with the new episodes.

I recently finished watching some pretty cool shows and wanted to share them with the Internet because I have no friends to gush about them to.

SO LETS DO THIS!

Saving My Skin - Escentual purchase

Oh, what do I tell you about my skin?! It's an acne-scarred, confused mess and it makes me very sad. I am plagued by blackheads and on occasion one of them gets inflamed and I just HAVE to pick at it and get that evilness out of my face. (Blackheads are EEEEVIL!) Which in turn leaves a scar. My skin in also combination with a lot of itchy, dry areas around my cheeks.

After reading a TONNE of reviews, I decided to buy the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo. It's super expensive in the UAE (Around Dhs130) so I checked it out on Escentual where it was £8 during an offer (around Dhs44), which is a huge difference in price. The Effaclar Duo is supposed to be an unclogging moisturiser. Which is great since if it weren't for my damn blackheads I think I would have pretty decent skin.

Since I was also looking for a general moisturiser to soothe my skin after cleansing it in the morning and night I thought i'd pick up the La Roche Posay Effaclar H Compensating Soothing Moisturizer. This one is supposed to intensely moisturise after you've used very drying cleansers (which I definitely do).

The other two things I got were the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Solution and the A-Derma Epitheliale AH Repairing Cream. Both where kind of on a whim. I needed a make-up remover so the much raved about Bioderma was an obvious choice and the A-Derma Repairing Cream just sounded cool. It has ~hyaluronic acid~ woooooo.

Will do a haul post and a review once this package arrives, which will be in approximately 20 days according to the website. I'm expecting it to be around a month till it arrives because, ya know, I live super far away. Until then, I hope my skin is not a total dick. Also, Escentual is having a offer for the whole of June on its French pharmacy products which include all of the above.

Shoes I've been coveting

*sigh* If I could afford to buy shoes every week, I would. I love looking at them, buying them, wearing them (even when I feel like they might kill me) and showing them off. If my day has gone bad or I'm feeling kinda blue I even walk around the house in a pair of heels to cheer me up (it works, I swear).

Alas, I am just a normal girl and my shoe wish list is always longer than the shoes-I-can-afford-right-now list. These are a couple of heels that I've been staring at longingly online for a while now. *fingers crossed* I will someday own them.

These Zara heels are super minimalist and a great way to get with the strappy, summer sandal trend. I have actually wanted these for ages and might just buy it this month and deal with the financial consequences later!

These Asos pumps are a bit pricey for me but that edgy metallic heel is too awesome to resist. I hope stocks for these shoes last until I can bloody afford it!

I'm trying to be better with my shoe choices because most of my heels are sky-high platforms that I can't wear without thinking about it 10 times. This low, casual wedge would go well with so many things and won't need me to be seated in order to be comfortable.

What shoes are your wearing or coveting these day? Leave a comment below! :)

Asos mini haul

I love getting mail and I love shopping. So seeing this package on my desk when I get into work gives me so much joy! Asos's free international delivery is brilliant and I hope they never stop offering it.

Just look at this box! So pretty!

The box is already opened and this is taken in my room, but you get the idea!

The first thing in this mini haul, and the most lovely are these New Look shoes. I've been very late getting into the studs and spikes trend. But these shoes more than make up for it. They are gorgeous and so bad-ass! Not the most comfortable shoes for a big-foot like me (I'm a UK7/EU40). The toe box is a little snug but overall they're one of my favourite buys in a while.

The next thing I got was the blogger favourite Rimmel Apocalips Lip Laquer in Big Bang.
I have not swatched or tried it on yet but will be doing a review soon. Look at that packaging though! So nice.
Third item I got was a bit of a 'box filler'. Wanted to buy something but didn't know what. I'm a sucker for pretty, vintage packaging and this definitely caught my eye.
It's a Cath Kidston Hand Cream. It's actually a pack of 3 mini tubes (30ml each) of the Blossom scented cream. I wanted to try this brand out so didn't buy a full 100ml tube (which is also really pretty). I thought with these if I didn't like it I could just give them away. This WILL NOT being happening. I love them and have one on my dressing table and one in my hand bag!

I love everything I got and I loved showing you guys!

Hello blogosphere!

This blog has been a long time coming. I've wanted to create one for months but I always seemed to have an excuse to put it off. It was either the lack of a laptop or a camera, the lack of time or things to blog about etc.
Now this damn blog is finally up and I still don't have the above mentioned things. I'm just going to find a way to do this. It's mostly for me and a way to talk about the things I love. I love a lot of things. Expect rants, reviews of random things, pictures (lots of pictures) and glimpses into my mostly boring life.

Posts will come soon. *fingers crossed*
